According to a report by Muscle Cars and Trucks, Chevrolet is developing a special version de la Silverado to face the F-150 Raptor. Apparently its name would be Silverado ZR2, as they are called "off-road" variants of other vehicles of this brand, such as the Colorado pick up.
Still without official confirmation, it is estimated that the Silverado "anti Raptor" will have structural reinforcements, important touch-ups in the suspension, improvements in the braking system and off-road tires. I would also have aesthetic changes and new interior coverings.
Based on what was published by said media, Chevrolet would choose the engine for the Silverado ZR2 naphtero V8 6.2 liters 420 horsepower that this huge pick up already offers in some markets.
In any case, it is not worth getting excited: Chevrolet does not plan to introduce this model in the Argentine market, even in its "conventional" variants. It does not rule it out in the long term, but in the coming years it is a fact that Silverado will not circulate again in the national territory. He confirmed it on Marketing Director of General Motors Mercosur, Rodrigo Fiocco, in dialogue with TN Autos.
