The actor Patrice Coquereau is almost halfway through his march to raise awareness of the anxiety. Party of Longueuil July 11, the comedian arrived in Lévis Monday and plans to travel to his final destination, Rimouski, towards the end of August.
The actor travels 15 to 20 kilometers a day and is "90%" hosted by strangers.
Throughout his journey, he collects sonorous or visual testimonials from people who, like him, have lived through episodes of anxiety.
"It's not heavy, it's extremely transparent. It's direct, I love it. It's frank, it feels good. We are not in automatisms, in ready-made answers, or in parades. We are in something real, "commented Patrice Coquereau, interviewed on the QUB radio morning show.
Attached to the telephone near the Quebec City bridges, Patrice Coquereau has tackled the extent of anxiety disorders in society. "It affects all people in different degrees and in different contexts. It is an evil that is widespread, especially among young people, "he said.
The actor explained that he decided to make his march to attract the attention of producers and broadcasters on a television project related to anxiety disorders that has been in his head for four years. For him, this project has a very special meaning.
"I had very severe periods of anxiety in the 80s, I reacted very badly to a THC joint. My life was a collapse in October '83 when I started at the theater school. I had to rebuild myself. Even taking the metro was problematic, "said Patrice Coquereau in an interview.
The actor plans to arrive at the final destination of his march, in Rimouski, between August 20th and 25th.
