The President of the Council of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko, will begin an official visit to Turkey on Wednesday. The program of the visit will include meetings with the leadership of the Republic and parliament.

According to the press office of the Council of the Federation, the delegation of the Council of the Russian Federation will also visit the memorial complex "Annette Kabir", the Museum of the National Liberation War, historical and cultural facilities in Turkey.

The delegation includes Vice President of the Federation Council Elias Omakhanov, Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Federation Council Constantine Kosachev, Deputy Alexander Papakov, Chairman of the Cooperation Group of the Federation Council with the Turkish Parliament Mourad Khapserkov, Members of the Council Olga Khokhlova, Yuri Borlachko and Chairman of the Representative Council of Rostov Province Alexander Ishchenko.
