The Tunisian Labor Union on Saturday (January 19th) called for a new national strike to pressure the Tunisian government to raise the wages of hundreds of thousands of employees.
The General Secretariat of the Secondary Education University of Saad Yaqoubi confirmed that the national administrative body of the Tunisian General Union of Labor has decided to carry out a general strike in the civil service and the public sector on Wednesday and Thursday 20 and 21 February, according to the Tunisian network "Nesma".
Secretary-General of the Union, Noureddine Tabboubi, said in a speech On the occasion of the inauguration of the national administrative body in the city of Hammamet, the organization is aware of the interest of the country, which is defending its sovereignty and all the Tunisians of all their classes, the unemployed, the unemployed and all other groups.
