The Italy 2020 car market did not start very well and in the month of February has made a significant drop. In addition, the negative influence of the Coronavirus epidemic that is blocking most of the country’s activities is feared for the next few months. THE data shared by UNRAE indeed, they highlight a situation that is certainly not rosy. However, alongside many negative signs there is also the positive one of hybrid cars.

In fact, this market segment in February rose 90% and now can count on one overall share of 11%. The increasingly stringent emission standards are pushing many people to focus on these engines which in some cases also allow you to enjoy a set of both tax advantages that of access to specific areas of the city center. Some models can also take advantage of the state Ecobonus (here the guide).

HYBRID CARS: TOP 10 FEBRUARY 2020

The data of the Italy 2020 auto market as regards the hybrid car sector are clear: 18,026 cars were registered against 9,457 in the same period last year. A very interesting figure that is potentially destined to improve given that the producers they are focusing heavily on this category offering within their price lists more and more electrified models.

As regards the Italian top 10, the Ford Puma ranks first with 1,914 registrations. The new Fiat 500 Hybrid ranks in second place and had a good start with 1,728 registrations. Third step of the podium for the Toyota CH-R crossover. The Japanese brand “dominates” this ranking since in the fourth, sixth and seventh place there are also the Yaris, the Corolla and the RAV4.
