A week bleeds on the road: A 50-year-old man was killed this morning (Thursday) in a serious car accident between a private vehicle and a truck on Highway 4 near Kfar Masaryk Junction to the north. MDA medics reported that they arrived at the scene, where they found the man with no signs of life, so they had nothing but to announce his death. In addition to the medical teams, three fire and rescue teams arrived to rescue the dead man from the car.
Paramedic MDA Gabay Maimon, who arrived at the scene of the accident, said: “When we arrived on the scene, we saw a truck and a crushed private vehicle on the road after crashing into the back of the truck. In the private vehicle, a man was trapped in his 50s, he was unconscious with a multi-system injury. While recovering from the vehicle we performed medical examinations, he was without signs of life. After a long rescue with the help of firefighters, we determined his death. ”
This is the fourth kill in the last three days as a result of road fatalities, after yesterday a 40-year-old motorcyclist was killed after apparently slipping while driving on Highway 1 near the Good Samaritan Interchange. During the evening, a report was received at the MDA hotline, and MDA paramedics and paramedics who arrived at the scene evacuated him to Hadassah Mount Scopus hospital, performing continuous CPR operations.
A senior paramedic at the Mav Aviv Pavilion, who arrived at the scene, said: “When we arrived, the man was lying next to a motorcycle, unconscious and breathless and suffering from severe systemic injury. We gave him life-saving medical care and evacuated him to the hospital while doing CPR. ”
The motorcycle rider, aged 45, was killed in a car accident on the way to Degania in Netanya. MDA forces arriving at the scene of the accident found him unscathed, performing CPR operations on him but had to determine his death even before he could reach the hospital.
