Election Commission: We will continue to investigate allegations of counterfeiting

The Election Commission explains that these results are made public after many vigorous scrutiny and monitoring procedures carried out by the Central Election Commission. However, these are not the official results, and the official results will be published on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, and submitted to the President of the State.

The committee also explains that these results do not include the results of the 6 ballot (which includes about 5,500 voters – no actual voters), which the committee continues to examine thoroughly and thoroughly in light of the fact that some of them took place during the election purity. These polls are under review.

Over the next few days, until the official results are published, the Commission will continue to conduct a series of additional examinations on several levels:

  • Operation “Purity Election Procedure” – So far 700 polling stations selected according to various parameters have been tested and hundreds more polling stations are expected to be tested. As part of this procedure, complaints received during the election day and during the last few days from the public are also being reviewed for attempts to impair the purity of the election, including reports from the Israeli police and reports of the poll purity inspectors. In this context, hundreds of inquiries have already been examined.
  • Checking inquiries on behalf of the various candidate lists.
  • Continued monitoring of results – In this context, tests are performed to detect typos, statistical tests and anomaly tests.
  • Examination of cases identified as part of the counting of votes voting in the outer envelopes, where suspicions of double voting were suspected: 877 cases of suspicion of voting in the ordinary and special ballot boxes, such as: accessible cards.
  • 438 cases where the voter is suspected of voting at two different special polling stations, such as: at two special accessible polling stations.

The Election Committee makes it clear and emphasizes that all of these tests may have implications for the final results, so the results published here are still subject to change and adjustment.
