Taking a dog is a very important decision. It is about bringing a new member into the family and taking care of him or her for many years to come. And for many people, once they decide to take a dog, the next question is which breed to choose.
The Markham family had different opinions on the size of the dog to be adopted. Her husband Robert didn’t want a big dog, so his wife, Sue, promised to bring a small dog home.
But this did not turn out exactly as planned.
Sue visited an animal shelter and fell in love with a puppy named Yogi Bear. He was small and cute and would have been perfect for her and her husband.
He told Robert he was taking a “little terrier” home, and he was expecting a Jack Russell or something.
So, Yogi Bear entered their lives and both Sue and Robert started worshiping their new dog.
But then, the puppy started growing …
It turned out that Yogi Bear was not a small terrier at all. In fact, it was a great dane and unusually large. Neither Sue nor Robert could have expected how big it would become.
Fortunately, when Yogi Bear grew too old, Robert had already fallen in love and didn’t want to send him away at all.
