Babylon Berlin
A new murder will shake up the life of Gereon Rath (Volker Bruch) e Charlotte Ritter (Liv Lisa Fries) in the 12 unreleased episodes of the third season of Babylon Berlin, leaving tonight on Sky Atlantic at 9.15pm. The German series, born from the collaboration between Sky Deutschland and Beta Film, will draw inspiration for this new cycle of episodes from the best seller The night does not make noise, written by Volker Kutscher and starring the now well-known Rath.
Babylon Berlin 3: plot and previews
At the center of the scene, in the new episodes, there will once again be the inspector, head of the homicide team, Gereon Rath. The latter, in addition to being distinguished by his seriousness, will continue to devote most of his days to work and will be able, as always, to count on the help of Charlotte Ritter, determined and courageous, but willing to do anything to pursue his goals.
As the title suggests, the series – set in Berlin in 1929 – will give a broad overview of the political movements that characterized the German capital at that time. During the Republic of Weimer, the city was in fact divided into two, which led some citizens to face rampant poverty, hunger and fear, unlike those who were able to take refuge in glitz, parties and sex –
A major innovation of the period, namely sound cinema, will be the background for the new case of Gereon and Charlotte: Betty Winter, a famous actress, will be tragically killed due to the fall of one of the spotlights; Rath and Ritter will then be called on to investigate what has happened, but the apparent incident over the weeks will bring to light something much bigger and more dangerous. The new cases to be resolved will therefore increase.
The 12 appointments of Babylon Berlin Henk Handloegten, Achim von Borries and Tom Tykwer were directed. Together with Volker Bruch and Liv Lisa Fries, they are also part of the cast Lars Eidinger as Alfred Nyssen, Leonie Benesch, called to impersonate Greta Overbeck, Benno Fürmann, the historian Colonel Günther Wendt, Mišel Matičević, which will once again be the Armenian, Hannah Herzsprung, who will lend face to Helga Rath, Karl Markovics (Samuel Katelbach) and Christian Friedel (Reinhold Gräf).
