Samuel Books, An 82-year-old Israeli citizen from Haifa, died in Italy from Corona. My books took off with his wife to the United States about a month and a half ago. The ship on which they sailed from the United States on February 20, 2020 and about a week ago docked at the port of Savona in northern Italy, where he was diagnosed with a patient in Corona, was admitted to a local hospital and died.
The Israeli consul in Rome, Ethan Abraham, accompanied the citizen and his family from the moment it became known that the citizen was ill, and continues to liaise and assist his family.
It was learned here that Samuel’s wife’s books were in isolation, at a military facility in Turin. The Israeli Consul in Rome, with the assistance of the Commune of the Turin community, looks after and supports it.
Samuel Books is the 13th victim of Israel’s corona virus.
