“Cura Italia” decree, a task force for economic measures is born

ROME (ITALPRESS) – The Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Bank of Italy, the Italian Banking Association and Mediocredito Centrale (MCC) have set up a task force “to ensure the efficient and rapid use of support measures the liquidity adopted by the Government with the Law Decree 18/2020 “, the so-called” Cura Italia “.
The provision provides for a moratorium until 30 September for loans for micro enterprises, SMEs, professionals and sole proprietorships, while the operations of the Guarantee Fund for SMEs, managed by Mcc, has been strengthened and expanded , increasing the resources and the scope of intervention and making the procedures for obtaining the guarantee faster and simpler.
The guarantee of the Fund is 80% of the amount (and 90% in the case of reinsurance of confidi) for all loans up to 1.5 million, without prejudice to the possibility of covering 80% of the loans as well up to 2.5 million when certain conditions are met, including female entrepreneurship, for loans in the South and for financing for investments, as well as for all loans up to 5 million that fall within the areas of activity also covered from the special sections of the Fund itself.
An immediate liquidity line (up to 3,000 euros) for natural persons entrepreneurs (VAT numbers, even if not registered in the business register) is also envisaged, with access without the need for any evaluation by the Fund, which joins the 80% guarantees already active on micro-credit and loans up to € 25,000 (so-called reduced amount).
“The task force – reads a note – will work to make banks and stakeholders aware of the new procedures, and to facilitate their use. The coordination and information exchange work already positively initiated between the parties in these days will continue, also in order to identify the most appropriate solutions with respect to any application problems and facilitate their dissemination, contributing to the updating and feeding of the section dedicated to ‘Questions and Answers’ on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. The Task Force, which will start its operations from the beginning of next week, will coordinate the collection and dissemination of data on the tools required by law “.
