Founder of Amazon and the richest person in the world increased his fortune by eight billion dollars in one day.
The personal wealth, founder and CEO of the world’s richest person, Jeff Bezos, rose eight billion dollars a day with the rise of shares in Amazon.
On Thursday, Amazon posted a profit above market expectations for the last quarter, covering the Christmas and New Year season.
Announcing a profit of 3.3 billion dollars in September-December period, the company was expected to announce profit of 2 billion dollars.
After this announcement, Amazon shares rose around seven percent on Friday.
At one point on Friday, Amazon’s market value exceeded the $ 1 trillion threshold.
