Unofficial Saudi responses to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s attack on Riyadh’s position on the “Deal of the Century” have emerged through the media and social media.
The Saudi prince Abd al-Rahman bin Musaed wrote on Twitter that Saudi Arabia did more than its speech, and their speech has a loud voice without action … in reference to the Turkish president.

Last night, the official Saudi news channel, Al-Ikhbariya, published a report responding to Erdogan’s attack on Friday, criticizing what he described as the Kingdom’s “silence” on the American settlement plan between Israel and the Palestinians, which has come to be known as the “Deal of the Century”.
The Saudi channel published this video on its page with “Twitter”, to remind the kingdom’s positions on Arab issues, as it reviewed the Saudi position during the tripartite aggression in 1956, including pictures showing the volunteering of the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his brother, the late King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, in military attire to defend Egypt.
The report, called “Abdullah Al-Hajri’s Report: Erdogan, when will you leave the speech … when will you do?” Video clips of Erdogan’s close ties with Israel and his tradition of Jewish accolades, to receive over 5,000 interactions within hours of its publication.
On Friday, Erdogan attacked the kingdom by saying “I am sad when looking at the positions of Islamic countries, especially Saudi Arabia, where no statement was issued (rejecting the deal of the century). When will we hear your voice? .. Jerusalem is the key to world peace as it was thousands of years ago, if The symbol of peace has fallen. The responsibility for this lies with the entire world. ”
Erdogan linked Jerusalem and Mecca, saying: “If we cannot protect the privacy of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, then tomorrow we will not be able to prevent evil eyes from turning toward the Kaaba, so we consider Jerusalem our red line.”
