McDonald’s teams up with Ferrero and launches McCrunchy Bread, the new bread and nutella

Over a thousand sandwiches were distributed in an hour in the restaurant of the well-known fast food chain in Piazza Duomo in Milan


In addition to Milan, the preview also took place in Rome, Naples and Bari. After “the first taste” the new sandwich will be available on McDonald’s menus starting from February 12 and two days later, Valentine’s Day, it will be offered to a special price while to all those who present themselves as a couple in one of the 600 Italian stores between 15 and 17 the sandwich will be offered for free.

The new McCrunchy Bread with Nutella, explains McDonald’s, is freshly prepared and served hot. A special bread is used, the choice of which comes from the need to marry Nutella’s creaminess in the best way: hence the use of a bread particularly suitable for roasting, which best enhances its crunchiness.

According to the CEO of McDonald’s Italia, Mario Federico, “the McCrunchy Bread with Nutella shows how close we are to our consumers, to whom we propose with this project a much loved product, but also how innovative we are: on the one hand such a simple product that it is impossible not to know him, on the other the revolution to find him out of the house “.

The CEO of Ferrero Commerciale Italia, Alessandro d’Este, specified: “Pane e Nutella is one of the most typical combinations of Italian breakfasts and snacks. Something simple and for everyone. Something that we grew up with and that has accompanied us in our life. Something to which moments of joy, family and sharing are linked. With McDonald’s we have thought about how to make it possible for all those who love this simple food not to have to give it up just because they are away from home.
