Parliament condemns the US’s alleged Middle East peace plan

The declaration stated that the plan, which appears to have been prepared by a one-sided, unfair approach that completely excludes Palestine, one of the two sides of the conflict, is completely against the United Nations resolutions and the perspective of a two-state solution.

It was pointed out that this plan aims to give international legitimacy to the occupation carried out by Israel and deeply impose it on the Palestinian side, rather than providing a ground for negotiation between the parties:

* The aim is to turn the occupation process into annexation.

* By making the domestic policy material of such an important issue that directly concerns the peace, security and stability of the entire Middle East, it is saddening and exemplary that the fundamental rights and freedoms of the Palestinian people, especially the right to determine their own future, are neglected and international law and justice are ignored.

* The so-called peace plan of the US administration, which has lost the trust of the Palestinian side in the most basic problem areas such as the status of Jerusalem, the right of Palestinian refugees to return and illegal settlements, has been born still.

* This initiative, which ignores the vision of a two-state solution and contains suggestions that violate the basic rules of international law, especially the relevant UN resolutions, is not likely to be accepted by the international community.

On this occasion, we emphasize once again that the solution of the Israeli-Palestinian issue will only be possible by embodying an independent, sovereign and geographical continuity Palestinian state based on the borders of 1967.

* Turkey, Palestine observe their fundamental rights and freedoms of the people, the Palestinian state and will not support any initiative that is unacceptable to people in the international community’s conscience and responsible members of their unity and solidarity, cruelty imposition and against the occupation will continue the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to defend on all platforms.

* As all the political parties that have a group in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, we ignore and condemn the alleged peace, essentially instability and conflict plan published by the US administration for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. DHA
