But how much will be saved? Facile.it wanted to carry out some simulations to understand how much it could save an average family, discovering that, in some cases, the total expense for insurance could even decrease by 53%.

Facile.it has therefore tried to quantify the possible savings considering a family of 4 members that provides 2 cars and 2 scooters. The simulation * was carried out on three sample cities: Milan, Florence and Bologna.In Milan, the average of the best rates available on Facile.it to ensure a four-wheeler vehicle in first class is 234.7 euros, while to ensure a 100cc displacement scooter, according to Facile.it simulations, the best price for those driving in the fourteenth class is 484 euros, a value that drops to 138 euros if the insured is in first class.
For a family with two cars registered to their parents, both in first class of merit, and two scooters insured in fourteenth class, the total cost would be over 1,430 euros a year. With the current legislation, it is not possible to transfer the class of merit from the car to a two-wheeled vehicle, therefore, even if in the first class of merit, the parents who ensure for the first time a scooter or a motorcycle must start from the fourteenth class . With the new standard, instead, the class of merit gained on the car would also pass to two wheels with a saving, for our Milanese family, of about 690 euros, that is about 48% less than what it would pay today.

With the entry into force of the new standard, on the other hand, the merit class of the two scooters would pass from the fourteenth to the first, with an overall saving of 53%, ie over 1,000 euros less.

For a 100cc scooter, on the other hand, the best rate available on the comparator goes from 145 euros for those driving in first class of merit to 549 euros for those in the fourteenth. According to the simulation, today a Bolognese family with 2 cars in the first class of merit and 2 scooters in the fourteenth class would pay, overall, almost 1,690 euros. With the entry into force of the new standard, on the other hand, the total cost would drop by 48%, with a saving of around 810 euros.
