PARIS – Depleted over one hundred graves in the Westhoffen February cemetery, not far from Strasbourg. The prefecture of the department in eastern France has announced that "anti-Semitic writings" have been traced on tombstones. The same thing happened in Schaffhouse-sur-Zorn, a town about twenty kilometers away.Alsace has already been the scene of such episodes. In February the profanation of 80 tombs in the Jewish cemetery of Quatzenheim aroused outrage and anger throughout the country. Many took to the streets to demonstrate against anti-Semitism and intolerance that too often resulted in violent acts.
