As it happens in the height of summer, even for the Christmas holidays, the Tax Office goes on stand-by and the taxpayers' folders are thus "frozen". The announcement was made by the Revenue-Collection Agency itself, which warns of the suspension of the activity of notification of the documents from 24 December 2019 to 6 January 2020, "with the aim of avoiding inconvenience to taxpayers in this particular period of the year".In the two weeks between Christmas and Epiphany, explain by the Agency, it was expected to send about 322 thousand collection documents which will remain suspended except for the mandatory ones (about 17 thousand) which will still have to be notified, in large part by certified e-mail.
The initiative decided by the heads of the Agenzia delle Entrate-Riscossione, in agreement with the postal operators, therefore provides for the suspension of the notification of approximately 305 thousand folders and notices that will be "frozen".This is one of the steps towards that attempt to give a "friendly" face to the tax authorities, which also translates into an attempt to "facilitate tax compliance and ensure greater usability of services to taxpayers". In fact, the Agency remembers the alternatives at the counter to deal with paperwork: "Without necessarily going to the counter, in fact, taxpayers can use the online services available on the website www.agenziaentrateriscossione.gov.it and on the app from their PC, smartphone and tablet Equiclick: you can check your debt situation, request the installment or suspension of the folders, check the existence of any payment requests, receive a text message or an email indicating the expiration of an installment or the arrival of a new folder , as well as request a copy of the Communication of the sums due with the payment slips, useful to taxpayers who have adhered to the measures of "scrapping-ter" and "balance and excerpt" of the folders ".
