Volley B2 / F: The Alba Volley still unbeaten, beaten at the Pinerolo tie-break – www.ideawebtv.it

The fifth day of the women's B2 volley championship has just ended. The Alba Volley did not allow itself to be caught unprepared after the rest session, winning a 3-2 victory against the Union Volley Pinerolo.

1st set

Start in balance (4-4), until a long series of lines by Linda Micheletti, who leads the team to 8-4. After the eighth point, coach Massimo Moglio de L’Union Volley Pinerolo asks for the first time-out: at the second half his team shortens by signing 2 points, 8-6. Despite this, the Albesi did not let themselves be intimidated, arguing with two walls and an ace of Greta Corti for an 11-6. The effective wall put the opponents in difficulty until 14-8: another guest time out. Continuing on the same line, Alba Volley easily reaches the set point, won on the second attempt. The set ends with a partial of 25-16.

2nd set

A difficult start for the locals, due to a strong attack by Pinerolo, is 2-5. The Alba rises to find the parity at 7: the local team succeeds with a winning attack by Irene Bovolo to overtake the Pinerolo. Partial that continues with the teams side by side: 14 equal with the ace of Giorgia Vaschetti, then the walls of Giulia Sciolla and Irene Bovolo sign the 17-17. The set continues point-to-point up to an even 24. The girls of coach Salomoni do not give up, thus canceling two set points, not enough to win the set, that Pinerolo wins with a 26-28.

3rd set

The first part of the set is dominated by Pinerolo, up to the counterattack by Giulia Dal Maso which marks the first point for the Albesi for a score 1-4. Dawn in difficulty on the opponent's service and uphill road for the clubs, which despite the points scored, failed to overtake the Pinerolo, which take the set with a partial result 16-25.

4th set

Nothing is said yet. Alba Volley started well and, after a series of head-to-head, managed to take the lead 7-4. Landlord running away, dominating the set and finding eleven set points (24-13) with great determination, and winning the partial with an opposing infringement, 2-2.

5th set

Irene Bovolo manages to score the first point, which is immediately tied because of a misunderstanding in the local defense. Irene Vicolungo drags the Albesi, 6-1 ahead: at the field change is 8-2. The game starts at the end with a clear advantage of the Albesi until 12-8, which prompted the Pinerolo to take the final decisive rounds, winning another point until 14-9. With Linda Micheletti serving, Alba Volley won the Match point with a 15-9 tie-break.
