The three have been identified thanks to the analysis of the videos of numerous private video surveillance systems in the city. A particular white and black t-shirt, worn by Buscetta during the robbery, it was decisive for tracing the cars used for the escape and to identify the whole band.
The images allowed the men of the Offenses section to reconstruct the movements of the robbers, since they left the city, after the coup, until they returned to their homes in Palermo. Dozens of videos, compared with the images of the cameras in the bank branch, and numerous telephone and environmental interceptions, they were at the base of the accusatory system, which convinced the investigating judge of Trapani to accept the request for pre-trial detention in prison of the prosecutor Franco Belvisi.
On 26 August the robbers entered the Credem branch thanks to Lo Coco, pretending to be a customer, he first passed the security compass, his face partially hidden by a hat.
