It hardly lasted Sebastian Vettel is the United States Grand Prix 8 laps, a few kilometers and all uphill. The difficulties started immediately: Seb, who started out well, lost positions on positions after the first corner, slipping to sixth position.

The feeling is that the SF90 went into crisis, unable to warm up the tires and, without grip, Vettel was unable to defend himself. Compromised race, then the coup de grace, with the right rear suspension who gave a crash, forcing Seb to retire.

"It was very difficult to operate the machine – Vettel told Sky interviewed – I had no grip on the first lap and I had to let so many people pass without being able to resist. I struggled a lot to run the tires on a corner, then the suspension broke. We had done so many laps over the weekend, without ever having problems, I don't know what happened ”.

The main defendant, according to Ferrari's first analysis, appears to have been the bollard on the outside of turn 8. When asked about the nature of the failure and the problems at the start, Vettel concluded excluding engine failures: "It wasn't the engine, I think it's a structural issue of suspension. We will examine it and see what could have happened, but obviously something went wrong ”.
