Var in Serie B, timing, requests from IFAB and favorable clubs: the situation

VAR SERIES B TIMELINE – As already written previously, the assembly of the League B scheduled from 12:30 pm will have on the agenda the introduction of the Var. In recent months the evaluation of the economic impact of the operation had curbed the definitive application, but the benefits from the point of view of credibility and appeal of the league are reasons why, according to the Corriere dello Sport, acceleration is now possible. However, the IFAB requests that off-line experimentation be carried out before the online phase: this would allow referees to form, as in the other leagues in which the technology was introduced. However, this obstacle that slows down the timing could be overcome since the League B is part of Football Federation, which has adopted the instrument since 2016. Eight clubs are proving particularly favorable to speeding up the process: it is about Ascoli, Cosenza, Crotone, Pordenone, Salernitana, Entella, Cremonese is Pisa.
