He goes to bed with a terrible headache and dies the next morning. This is what happened to the 21 year old Jessica Cain of Gateshead in the United Kingdom hit in a few hours by fulminant meningitis. The girl had returned home with a severe headache and had taken paracetamol, reports the Sun. It was then the mother Sheila, the next morning to enter her bedroom, in an attempt to understand how her daughter was. But when she came to the side of the bed she made the gruesome discovery. Jessica was dead. The attempt to revive her and call an ambulance was of no use. The girl had stopped breathing for several hours. "We discovered the cause of his death five days later, when we received a call from the coroner – the mother explained – Before then we had absolutely no idea what had happened. Everything's gone through my mind. We wondered if he had had a cerebral hemorrhage or a heart attack. We were shocked when we discovered that it was meningitis. Nothing could be done to save her. None of us can believe that she is gone ".

The 21 year old was studying at the Art Therapy of the University of Derby with specialization in assistance and care for autism sufferers. He lived at home with his mother, stepfather and his little dog Lily. According to her mother's testimony, Jessica had come home tired: "I told her to go to bed. It was about 7 pm when she went to sleep, but then I saw her again later. He told me he would go to the doctor if he didn't feel better and then we said goodbye. No one could suspect anything. Headache is a fairly common disorder. "
