If I had a habit with Matteo Salvini's passive-aggressive play, I could argue. I could say that pointing out to his fans, as he did last night on social media, causing an avalanche of insults and threats, violates the most elementary democratic principles for which a power does not put a countervailing power in its sights. I could pose as a victim, whimpering or screaming, according to his lexicon and his favorite newspapers. Instead I thank him. For two reasons. The first is that choosing as my photo a frame in which I seem to have just been hit by a freight car, he took my best image. The second is that he published, highlighting it, the attack of the piece that came out two days ago: "Salvini despises him, the people. He considers it a plethora of minus habens to which an illiterate communication can be trimmed". Above, he wrote that I would have called troglodyte those who vote. Instead it is a thought, and he has also shown it, that I attributed to him. Who takes them for a ride even this time, telling the umpteenth lie. Thanks.* Note for Latinist Northern League: do not say "minus habentes" because in Italian the Latin words are not declined.
