Corato is the first hospital in Puglia to have a listening and accompaniment center for women and families who have difficulty carrying on a pregnancy. It is called "reception for difficult maternity" and it is the fruit of the collaboration between the association "Granello di senape – Center of aid to life", the foundation "The heart in a drop" of prof. Giuseppe Noia primary of gynecology of the Gemelli of Rome, and the gynecology team of the Umberto I of Corato directed by Dr. Lucio Nichilo.

To cut the ribbon this morning, was the scientific director Lucio Nichilo, head of the operative unit of Gynecology of Umberto I. At his side also prof. Giuseppe Noia and the president of the non-profit foundation "Il Cuore in una goccia" and of the Aigoc.

This new area of ​​the gynecology department is a great opportunity to welcome women who face pathological prenatal diagnosis and other issues related to pregnancy, to guide them towards a path of awareness, knowledge and care.
