Don't worry about them, but look and pass. Despite the specter of corporate car tax included in the Budget Law, the long term rental its positive trend continues. After an exceptional September (+ 37.7%), the market closed October at + 29.97%, bringing the cumulative annual to + 3.42%, for an overall share of 236,876 cars. In the last month, the NLT registered 23,675 cars against 18,216 in October 2018, or 5,459 more. Light commercial vehicles, on the other hand, are experiencing a negative month, ending at -17.61%. That means 738 new license plates less than the 4,190 registered a year ago in the same period. However, also in this case the cumulative 2019 is growing: 1.01% (349 more units) according to the data processed by Dataforce based on information from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and ACI.

All the players grow. In the last month all the rental segments prospered, starting from the captive companies, ie those controlled by automobile manufacturers, such as Leasys, Mercedes-Benz Charterway, Free2Move Lease-PSA, ES Mobility-Renault / Nissan and Volkswagen Leasing: the category has marked + 39.6%, with an annual cumulative + 24.94%. The Top generalists, that is the emanations of financial or banking companies that offer multi-brand products (for example ALD Automotive, Alphabet, Arval, Athlon, Car Server, LeasePlan and Sifa) recorded growth of 19.67%, limiting the losses of beginning of the year and lowering the accumulated liabilities, now to -10.33%. The so-called Medium also performed well, thanks above all to the boom in the new entry Rent2go, which passed from the 191 cars registered a year ago to 1683 this year.

Leasys Guide. Among operators, Leasys is firmly in the lead with 67,653 vehicles (including Vcl), a number already higher than in 2018. Second, spaced out by different lengths, there is Arval (50,963 vehicles), which stands out however on the light commercial vehicles. The ALD Automotive podium closes, albeit in sharp decline with only 34,778 units (almost half of the total in 2018). Leaseplan and Volkswagen leasing follow: the latter too, with 26,075 registrations, has already far exceeded those of the entire 2018. Behind the captive of the Wolfsburg giant we find then Alphabet (BMW group), then Car Server, Athlon, ES Mobility (the captive of Renault-Nissan) and Sifa, both in great growth. Mercedes-Benz Charteway and Free2Move Lease from Psa remain just outside the top ten (+ 50%), followed by Rent2Go, Program, PAN and GFC.
