The first Calabria regional assembly of the M24A Territorial Equity movement founded by Pino Aprile was held on Saturday 16 November in Feroleto Antico.

The assembly, which saw the participation of delegations from all over Calabria, was an opportunity to start the territorial operational organization of the movement, founded just a month ago, which already boasts thousands of requests for membership coming not only from the southern regions.

During the meeting, the regional coordinator Paolo Spadafora illustrated the guidelines on which to base the movement of the Movement on the territory, which must be inclusive and streamlined without however allowing the recycling of political professionals. The Movement says no to those who, after having always operated against the south, today try to invent new meridionalists with improbable empty symbols. In the following the provincial commissioners were appointed in the persons of Gianfranco Rogato (Cosenza), Giuseppe Corapi (Catanzaro), Andrea Aceto (Crotone), Rosario Belmonte (Vibo Valentia), Pasquale Zavaglia (Reggio Calabria) and the regional delegate for the membership: Roberto Alitto.

The provincial commissioners have been given the task of initiating the many activists to formally establish the dozens of spontaneous territorial circles that have already been identified.

Pino Aprile, in reiterating the need for a strong collective commitment to stop the territorial discrimination suffered by Southern citizens for decades, has updated the people of the “ettini” (this is how the members of Territorial Equity were defined) on the many initiatives in progress, asking for a massive effort for the Bers-Ebrd petition. This is the petition launched to request the transfer of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (Bers-Ebrd) to Naples. The exit of Great Britain from the EU, in fact, would pose the problem of where to move an enormous institution, which would manage funds, power and opportunities, especially in an area now delicate as the Mediterranean one. With this petition launched by M24A-ET, the transfer to Naples is requested with a huge impact for the whole of the south.

During the work coordinated by Rosario Belmonte and which saw the participation of members, sympathizers and local administrators, Aldo Pirillo and Emilio D'Agostino from the national board also spoke, bringing the greetings of the management and the lawyer Corrado Mollica, member of the coordination regional and author of the essay "The sack of southern Italy" that intervened to warn about the impending danger of the proposal of differentiated regionalism that the Minister Boccia del PD intends to approve with the trick of the framework law.

Dulcis in fundo, at the end of the work the adhesion of the first mayor of Italy at M24A-ET, this is Avv. Roberto Ameruso mayor of Tarsia, a municipality in the Cosenza area where Ferramonti's internment camp is located. The Mayor, also famous for the initiative aimed at repopulating the town with the operation "houses for one euro", in the course of his touching intervention thanked Pino Aprile for his political project that rekindles the hope of being able to do politics for the common good and to save the south from the unstoppable decline.
