Tari Reggio Calabria 2019, U.Di.Con .: "More precise information on the rules"

The last deadline for the waste tax is approaching and in many municipalities by the end of the year, the total amount due must be paid.

With the approach of the term to pay, the U.Di.Con. with his President Denis Nesci, he wants to summarize, below, the rules on how to calculate the Tari and how to pay the amount due.

"The next 30 November 2019 – writes Denis Nesci – the deadline for the payment of the balance of the Tari 2019 (tax on urban waste) of the municipality of Reggio Calabria will expire. Taxpayers, as we read in the communique published on the institutional website of Hermes srl, and from numerous requests for clarification from the taxpayers of Reggio Calabria, are required to pay Tari, even if they have not yet received the related payment notice. Failure to pay by the deadline of the aforementioned 30 November is tantamount to automatic default of the tax payer with consequent application of the penalty and interest. We remind that the TARI – continues Denis Nesci – is owed by natural and legal persons, that is also by tenants who occupy the house for more than 6 months a year. As with any Italian municipality, the legislation on the subject, including for Reggio Calabria, provides for cases of exemption from TARI for rooms that by their nature or characteristics cannot produce waste such as closed dwellings and without water, gas and electricity connections or homes without furniture and furnishings ”.

"We have received in these days – intervenes the Regional Vice President U.Di.Con Calabria Domenico Iamundo – from numerous tax payers requests for clarifications and assistance. Senior citizens, users unable to self-liquidate the TARI due to obvious difficulties in accessing the website of the company that manages the collection. For these reasons – continues Domenico Iamundo – we invite all citizens who find themselves in difficulty for the calculation, for the compilation of the F24 payment models or for any doubt concerning the cases of exemption, to go to our offices in Via Lemos 7 where will receive free assistance. In this regard we inform the citizens that today – concludes Domenico Iamundo – we have taken steps to write to the Mayor of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria and to Hermes srl reporting the difficulties encountered by numerous tax payers and to evaluate the opportunity to postpone the deadline to December 31st next, making available to us, also with the Authorities in question, to publish on our website and on our social pages, any announcements that the Municipality or Hermes will want to make for possible clarifications on the calculation methods or deadlines ".

"We want to reassure all citizens, because we received a prompt response from Hermes srl, which specified that by November 30 all citizens of Reggio Calabria will have the opportunity to be informed, through an official communication, how much the contribution will be from pay – concludes the new Provincial Head of U.Di.Con. of Reggio Calabria, Pasquale Vozzo – moreover, with our offices, we will give full information to our assumptions on how to proceed in order not to incur penalties ".
