"I wish he touched 150 balls per game". The programmatic manifesto of Maurizio Sarri revolved around Miralem Pjanic from the first day as coach of Juventus. And indeed from that day on, the centrality of the Bosnian in his project was striking. A centrality in which Pjanic has exalted himself, becoming the fulcrum of a team of which he is more and more a leader, as well as a director.

Pjanic is making a great contribution to Juventus and is increasingly central to the Juventus game. What is the most different thing you do compared to the past?
"I try to do what Sarri asks me to find space and show me to get the ball. What I like about his vision is the one-two touch game, making the ball run better than us, because the ball travels faster and faster. I like to play like that, with as few touches as possible. I have always said that I need to have the ball and make it turn to be "in confidence", that is to be sure of ourselves, and make others play well. I have a very important role and I find myself very well in this way of playing. Although lately we close the matches with a few goals compared to what we create and this puts us in a bit of danger and does not give us all the satisfaction we could have for how we play. We need to be more cynical and to realize more, this will also lead opponents to have more respect and fear than us ».

Why do you mark so little compared to what you create? Given the quality of the attackers, the problem should not exist.
"Perhaps we realize that we often come up with opportunities and are a little light for this awareness. We get to the shot without wanting to break the door at all costs. Once we start to score more, calm and lucidity will come and we will continue, because this team has so much quality that we will be able to score goals from every corner. But we must be more evil ».

Ronaldo was also wrong with Genoa …
"It happens to everyone, but luckily in the end we won and there are three important points, given the results: the Inter that had won, the Napoli that lost points instead. It was important to keep up and move forward, to do so until March, which will be the most important month, and maybe see if we stretch a little. Against Genoa it was a complicated match, in the first half we were a bit slow and we didn't create much. In the second, yes, but their goalkeeper has made great saves, then in Italy all the teams know how to defend themselves well and when they close it is not easy to find gaps. Genoa was confident he was fine and continued to play ".
