Indeed, recalling that the review was not voted at any European summit, in a long informal note the Presidency of the Council recalled that when the reform was discussed at European level (in June, with the majority M5s-League) "Senator Salvini, at the time was Vice-President of the Council of Ministers as well as Minister of the Interior, and he should have paid more attention to the progress of this negotiation, especially as the topic was discussed in various majority meetings, in the presence of various representatives of the League (Deputy Ministers of the Economy and Presidents of the competent Commissions). The fact that Senator Salvini only finds out about the existence of this negotiation is very serious. Denotes a unforgivable neglect for public affairs. Whoever claims to lead Italy without taking care to study the dossiers should at least avoid spreading blatant untruths. With the propaganda imbued with lies the interests of Italian citizens are certainly not treated ”.
