According to Sebastian Vettel, Ferrari must not answer to anyone, but a victory at San Paolo would have a "silencing" effect on the controversy that arose after the Austin weekend.

Seb is optimistic, and does not preclude any result on a track that two years ago he imposed on the poleman Bottas at the first corner.

According to the German, not all of the problems that negatively affected Austin's weekend have been identified, but the layout of Interlagos should prove to be more friendly than SF90 anyway.

Did you understand after Austin the reason that caused the suspension to go down?
"It looks like it hit the track. Obviously we ran on the track for the whole weekend without any problems, probably we were lucky during free practice and qualifying, or unlucky in the race ”.

In Austin we saw you congratulate Hamilton. Toto Wolff said that inverted roles probably wouldn't have happened the same …
"I'm not sure. I think Lewis is an honest guy, he played a great season and I didn't have much to do while the race was going on, so I got a little bored and it was pretty clear he would be a world champion, and I simply thought of going to congratulate him. I thought it was a secluded place … ".

Do you think the Interlagos layout will go well with the SF90?
"I hope. In Austin we had to fight more than expected for reasons we are still trying to understand, but I am confident for this weekend on the possibility of returning to our performance ".

What do you think of Max's comments in the US?
"I think it's a sign of our times, where so many people always have something to say. I think the big difference compared to the past is that today these people are listened to, whereas before they were ignored. There is not much else to add, in the end everyone is free to express what they want, but obviously we have a different opinion ”.

Do you think the suspect policy is a consequence of the fact that you have the best engine?
"I do not know. We have a powerful engine but also an efficient single-seater, Mercedes and Red Bull have a greater downforce than ours, so we could discuss the merits and defects of the various technical packages ".

"If we have the most powerful engine, I say this because I don't know the power data of the opponents, then it is a great result on our part, of our engine department. In the last five years Mercedes has had the most powerful engine, but from a a couple of months we are ahead, so I hope this situation goes on for the next five years, and I don't care what people say. "

Rumors have increased because on the Austin straights you didn't look as fast as you did the previous weekends. Have you had a power loss?
"No, we didn't lose power, I think we opted for a slightly higher downforce than our rivals. In qualifying the comparison was quite clear, we gained on the straights, not so much as usual, but on the other hand we reduced the gap in the curves ".

"My race then lasted very little, and Charles didn't have the pace we normally have but it's not for engine related reasons. It will be important to understand exactly what happened to make sure it doesn't happen again."

Is this weekend important to silence suspects?
"There is no need, there is nothing to silence for me, but I suppose … yes, it will help if we win here, it would have a" silencing "effect on that front. But that's not our goal, that's winning races regardless of everything ".
