Genova. A new alert was issued by Arpal a few minutes before 13, and provides for the level orange for Genoa, Savona and their hinterland, due to water and snow problems.
On Genoa and Savona the alert is due to hydrological problems: from 18 to 21 it will be yellow, while from 21 to 15 tomorrow it will be orange. For the Genoese and Savona inland, then the Stura Valley and the Bormida Valley, will be alert for snow: from 18 to 21 yellow, and from 21 to 6 tomorrow morning will become orange, and then return to yellow until 9.
After thunderstorms between evening and night, accompanied by hail, and a brief respite in rainfall, Liguria is about to be affected by a new phase of bad weather. Widespread and persistent rains, thunderstorms and more snow are expected in inland areas of central Ponente. We will also have strong winds or storms and storm surges in Levante.
Short window without precipitation in Liguria in the last hours, but the overcast sky almost everywhere this morning heralds a new deterioration. The scenario will be that of widespread and persistent rains, especially in the central sector of the region that could locally rise to high cumulative while the details will be affected by significant cumulative. On the ground a strong northern flow is expected up to a strong storm on the central part of the West and the call of moist air from East-South East on the Levant center. In this scenario there is still uncertainty about the possibility that strong and stationary storms can reach the coast. At the moment, the forecast modeling prefigures the strong phenomena off the Ligurian Sea; however it is possible that, in some phases, the intense precipitations can be pushed up to the dry land.
A situation, therefore, to be monitored carefully (the most disturbed window is the one expected between today's evening, Monday and tomorrow morning, Tuesday followed by other precipitations) in which there will also be snow, waiting on the Po Valley slopes central-western (zone D) of the region up to hilly levels (3-400 meters) in areas where motorway tracks run and where accumulations are expected around 15-20 centimeters on the western part and about 5-10 centimeters on the eastern side. Finally, the sirocco sea storm tomorrow in Levante should also be mentioned.
A glance also at the minimum temperatures that, in the provincial capitals, were included between the 6.1 of Imperia Osservatorio Meteo Sismico and the 8.6 di Genova Centro Functionale. The lowest values in the inland areas of the Imperia area: -5.0 at Poggio Fearza, -3.6 at Colle di Nava, -2.4 at Colle Belenda, the same value as Monte Settepani (Savona). In the province of Genoa -1.5 in Pratomollo (Borzonasca), in the La Spezia area -0.3 in Casoni di Suvero. In the early hours of the night to signal the southern wind with gusts of storm in the La Spezia where the 82.8 km / h were touched in Portovenere and 79.2 in Casoni di Suvero.
