Hard times for the outlaws of finance on the web: today Consob (National Commission for Companies and the Stock Exchange, is the institution that protects investors) has ordered thedimming of 6 websites who illegally offer financial services in Italy, starting from online trading, without being in possession of the prescribed authorization. The news is contained in a press release issued by the Authority recently Adnkronos press agency.
There Consob has made use of new powers arising from the Growth Decree (1) of last June, on the basis of which it can directly order internet connectivity providers (the providers through which we connect to the network, such as Tim, Vodafone and Wind) to inhibit and therefore prohibit access from Italy to websites through which financial services are offered without due authorization, which serves for a preventive control to protect savers.
Here is what they are the societies concerned and the related obscured websites starting today:
- TomCom Limited (https://royalfxpro.eu);
- Bonatech Ltd and Mitchell Group EOOD (https://ccxcrypto.com);
- Next Trade Ltd and TLC Consulting Ltd (https://aspenholding.co and https://aspen-holding.com);
- Platinum Trader (www.traderplatinum.com);
- London Capital Trade Ltd (www.londoncapitaltrade.net).
Salt so to 71 the number of sites obscured since last July, that is when Consob acquired the power to order the site obscuration by law. All the orders with which the companies have been ordered to cease the abusive activity can be consulted on the official Consob website.
Now, activities are underway that will not make these 6 sites more visible by internet connectivity providers operating on the Italian market and through which we connect to the internet. For technical reasons, however, theactual darkening it will not be immediate and may take a few days, during which these sites will still be usable.
Consob refers to theattention of savers on the importance of making your own investment choices in a prudent and informed way, adopting common sense precautions, such as the preventive verification that the operator through which you invest is authorized.
To do this, there is a simple way: on the Consob website there is the list of inhibited operators and on the homepage there is the section "Watch out for scams!"Where there is useful information to warn the investor against illegal operators.
