The new Mini Clubman, on sale since last spring, stands out compared to the old version for the distinctive front with a newly designed radiator grille, in which the LED headlights with Matrix function for the high beams, the LED fog lights with a light ring stand out driving. News also for the horizontally oriented rear lights that present a new design that emphasizes the British origins of the brand: the graphic structure of their light sources traces the abstract Union Jack model.
Snappy and agile as usual, the Mini Clubman is now even more usable in everyday life, thanks to the new Mini Connected features that provide a wide choice of connected services. They range from real-time traffic information to the possibility of remotely sending, via smartphone, the navigation destination and receiving information on the ideal departure time. The Mini Clubman's standard range of equipment includes an audio system with six speakers and a USB socket.
This allows the use of audio streaming via a Bluetooth connection. The model also has a hands-free telephone system with a USB interface. The standard operating system includes a 6.5-inch color screen in the central instrument. The Connected Media option includes Mini Visual Boost Radio and a 6.5-inch color screen with touchscreen function and a newly developed graphic display. Thanks to the Mini Yours program you can also customize the interior of the car to suit your taste. In particular, there are three versions: Piano Black illuminated, Frozen Blue illuminated and Fiber Alloy illuminated.
Three petrol and three diesel engines are available with power between 75 kW / 102 hp and 141 kW / 192 hp (combined consumption: 6.5-4.0 l / 100 km, combined CO2 emissions: 147-105 G / km). In addition, customers can choose to combine the ALL4 all-wheel drive system with the most powerful petrol and diesel engines. As an alternative to the standard 6-speed manual gearbox, a 7-speed Steptronic dual clutch transmission is available for the One Clubman, the Cooper Clubman, the Cooper S Clubman and the One D Clubman. A 7-speed Steptronic sports transmission is also available for the Cooper S Clubman, which features particularly fast changeover times. The Cooper D Clubman can be optionally equipped with an 8-speed Steptronic transmission as standard equipment for the Cooper S Clubman ALL4, the Cooper SD Clubman and the Cooper SD Clubman ALL4 and can be optionally replaced in each of these models with a Steptronic sports transmission at 8 speeds. The 425 cm length allows a good habitability for four adults and also the load capacity is discreet thanks to the 360 liters of luggage compartment. The two rear split doors can sometimes create some embarrassment when you have bulky luggage. But on the other hand they are just one of the characteristics of the Clubman. The list starts from the 23,950 euros of the One 'base'; for the Cooper SD of our test the prices range from 35.200 to 39.900 euros.
