From today's Consob update on net short positions (PNC) we learn that the most short-term security in Piazza Affari is UBI Banca with 7 short open positions for a share of 7.48% of the share capital (there were 4 PNCs equal to 5.81% on 8 November).
Maire Tecnimont falls to the second highest step of the podium with 5 PNCs equal to 5.86% of the capital (they were 5 PNC equal to 6.01% on 8 November).

Saipem ranks third with 5 PNCs for 4.84% of the capital (4 PNCs were equal to 4.29% on 8 November).
Banco BPM rises one position but lacks the podium with 7 PNCs for a share equal to 4.80% of the capital (5 PNCs were equal to 3.87% on 8 November).

For an overview of all short-listed titles, see following table which shows, in descending order, the ranking of companies listed on the Italian Stock Exchange based on the share of capital on which the PNCs are open.

Please note that PNCs are a synthetic indicator which summarizes short positions (ie short sales of shares and short positions in financial derivative instruments and other similar instruments) net of long positions (ie purchases of shares and long positions in financial derivative instruments and other similar instruments) . All the transactions carried out in the aforementioned financial instruments, also executed abroad and / or out of the market, flow into the calculation of the PNCs. The Consob website is therefore the only official and reliable source of data on these positions.
The following are the subject of publication PNCs that are equal to or greater than 0.5% of the share capital of the listed company in question; or they have reached the 0.5% threshold and have therefore been published, but have subsequently fallen below the 0.5% threshold. These PNCs are published one last time with the indication of the last available value (below 0.5%).
Finally, it should be noted that, since the November 8 update, the percentage of capital shorted in Row (there was 1 PNC equal to 0.48% of the capital on 8 November) and in Salini (there were 2 PNCs equal to 1.04% of the capital on 8 November) e UnipolSai (there was 1 PNC equal to 0.58% of the capital on 8 November). At the same time, the percentage of capital shorted in has risen above 0.5% (or has been opened) Banca IFIS (1 PNC equal to 0.51% of the capital as of November 15th), Eurotech (1 PNC equal to 0.47% of the capital November 15) and in Drums (1 PNC equal to 0.61% of the capital November 15th).
