Jorge Lorenzo: "After what happened yesterday, I tried to regain concentration to get back on track and today it was better than usual, I'm closer to the first. The goal for tomorrow is to enter the 15s, but it is not impossible to think of doing Q2. Overall, it was a positive day. "

Johann Zarco: "I am very satisfied with the day today, ended in the top 10 and, above all, with the time made with the new soft tire. This is not a simple track for me, I struggle a bit on distance, but with this bike you have to take a step at a time. I am very well on the LCR team, also because we speak Italian, and behind you you feel the support of a big house like Honda ".

Maverick Vinales: "I found myself very well both in FP1 and FP2: I did not look well at the pace of the others, but I am very satisfied with mine. On this track I often struggled in MotoGP, but I have the same positive feelings I had in Sepang. Surely this is a great moment for me, both physically and psychologically: I am very happy with the team, with the bike, with everyone at a very important moment to decide the technical changes for the next season ".

Fabio Quartararo: "I am very satisfied with my lap time, but on the pass we are not so good: I lose too much in the last sector, compared to the best I miss a couple of tenths. I have to study the data of Vinales well: it is the fastest along with Marquez ”.

Danilo Petrucci: "We are not far away, but there are small problems to solve. And above all, I struggle to take advantage of the new tires: before mounting them, I was not in a bad way, I was the best among Ducati riders. This is definitely not the best track for us ".

Marc Marquez: "At the moment, it seems that Vinales and I are the fastest and most consistent, but Quartararo and Rins are also strong, while the Ducati today seemed a little more in difficulty. Since we won the title, we started to work thinking about 2020, changing Friday's strategy a bit to test some components. Even today I did so, without neglecting the preparation of the race. This is a very insidious circuit with the cold, especially in two points, at turn 4 and 10/11: if it is like in FP1 there is a bit of limit, you have to be careful. Fortunately, Michelin brought the right tires, the compounds are fine. Winning the "team" title is not easy, but not impossible. Who would I like as a teammate? The answer you can imagine, but it's not my job, Honda has to decide whether to bet on a young man or an experienced driver. I will not put any constraint on it: I could have done it two years ago, say I sign if … (take my brother, NDA), but I did not and I will never do it and it is not necessary. As for me, I'm already proud that the Moto2 world champion is on Honda's list. I've always said that my dream is to race with Alex in MotoGp, no matter which bike, but I've never mixed personal interests with professional ones. The RC213V is a difficult bike, but it is always a Honda, a bike with which I won 11 races and 17 podiums … Honda and I have already started talking about the next contract: as I have always said, Honda is my first choice, priority. I asked for some things, others, to find the right compromise. As far as I'm concerned, I'm mainly focused on the technical side ".
