Kawasaki formalizes the marriage with Bimota and presents the new TesiH2

Bimota has a new life! On the occasion of Eicma Kawasaki Heavy Industries Japan (not the Italian branch) formalizes the agreement with Swiss entrepreneurs Marco Chiancianesi and Daniele Longoni for the partnership with the Rimini factory (whose name is the acronym of Bianchi, Morri and Tamburini, who founded it in 1966). In detail, after three years of negotiations, Kawasaki acquired 49.9% of Bimota, while the remaining 50.1% remains in the hands of Chiancianesi-Longoni. The figures for the purchase have not been known, but it can be assumed that these are some millions of euros.

After more than half a century since its inception, Bimota had remained a little in the shade in recent years: its last official appearance dates back to Eicma 2015 when the Impetus was presented. It was a naked engine powered by the Ducati Diavel that could be fitted with numerous special parts and even exclusive kits such as the "Bimota Experience”, With light-carbon alloy frame and swingarm, dashboard with 3.5” color TFT screen and light alloy structure obtained from solid, or with “Supercharger”, Which offered the volumetric compressor to increase the power and torque values ​​by 15-20%. But with the passage of time that bike has remained in its infancy without ever going into production … But now, at the 2019 Milan Show, Bimota and Kawasaki, after having formalized the wedding, present the new TesiH2.
