The shipowner returns to the attack of Unicredit after the stop to the sale of the ships to the Danish company Dfds: "It is blocking our industrial plan"

The owner of the shipping companies Moby Lines, Toremar and former Tirrenia rails against Unicredit, the business bank which, according to the Neapolitan shipowner, is responsible for blocking the ferry exchange between Moby Lines and the Danish company Dfds. A transaction that, with a value of around 70 million euros, would have considerably reduced the company's bank exposure.

Onorato, on his Facebook page, writes a particularly heartfelt message to his seafarers, in which he does not hide the gravity of the situation. "We're almost 6,000 and we're all Italians. We are the country's first sea infrastructure. We are healthy and not in bankruptcy and I don't say it, but the Milan court decreed it – explains the shipowner – There is a strategy to send us all home unemployed and make us fail. This strategy passes through a bank that has been blocking our business plan for two months, with pretexts and postponing all its decisions without allowing us to continue our work ".

The attack is once again aimed at the Unicredit bank, but also at the Soud Point speculative fund. «The sale of the two ships that the bank has effectively blocked goes to reimbursement of the banks – attacks Onorato – Have you ever seen a bank that does not want the money back? For the bank it is more important to let us die to follow a strategy linked to a fund based in the Cayman Islands, Sound Point ». In recent days Onorato has threatened legal action against the bank that defended itself, fearing a claim for damages and reconstructing what happened in a long and detailed letter sent to the company and published by the Tirreno. "It was not possible to free the mortgages – they wrote from Unicredit – we do not understand on what basis you can be held responsible for the damages deriving from your possible defaults against Dfds".
