Rental prices in Milan continue to grow. To certify it is Tecnocasa, which on Monday 11 November published the figures for the rents for the first six months of 2019. Renting a studio in the shadow of the Madonnina costs 6.1% more than in 2018, so do the two-room apartments (+ 4.2%) and three-room apartments (+ 5.3%).

Among the motivations, the experts explain, there is the reduction of the offer on the market due both to the growth of the phenomenon of tourist rents and to the willingness of different owners to sell the property taking advantage of the market recovery. Finally, the fact that the potential tenants are increasingly demanding in the search for the property contributes to determining the rise in values ​​and there is a greater ease of renting for the "quality" solutions, well furnished, located in areas served and bright. The owners are acknowledging these requests and the quality of the leased housing offer is improving. Attention to condominium costs is always high.

Who are the average Milanese tenants: the data

According to the real estate brokerage firm, 41.9% of the people who rent a house in Milan are between the ages of 18 and 34 and 54.5% of them are single. Furthermore, Milan has the highest percentage of contracts signed by off-site workers (51.4%). The most rented types are the two-room apartments (40.9%), followed by the three-room apartment (35%).

According to the company the cheapest area is Ponte Lambro where, according to Tecnocasa, it would be possible to rent a studio apartment for 250 euros a month. Sifting through the net, however, the lowest price we found (for a two-room apartment) in that area was 550 euros.
