The conditions of George Tirabassi, hit by a heart attack yesterday in Abruzzo, during the presentation of his latest film "Il Grande Salto", are stable. The actor was subjected in the night, according to Il Messaggero, to an angioplasty operation with a stent to solve the problem of occlusion to a coronary artery. He is admitted to the Cardiological Intensive Care Unit of the Avezzano hospital, under the strict supervision of doctors. The Asl 1 Avezzano-Sulmona-L'Aquila confirms that the actor is out of danger. His conditions are currently stable and remain closely monitored.
The heart attack during the event
The 59-year-old Roman had arrived in Abruzzo to present his new film, "Il Grande Salto", in the municipality of Civitella Alfedena where he had arrived at around 7pm. At 7.45pm, the actor accused him of illness. Immediately taken to the hospital, after being rescued by some doctors in the hall, his condition would have appeared immediately very serious. The 118 doctors, coming from the nearby Castel di Sangro, transported Tirabassi to the Avezzano hospital. During the night, an emergency operation.
