    <p>Turn in the investigation for the murder of the three <strong>fire fighters</strong> died in the explosion of <strong>Quargnento</strong>, in the province of Alessandria. According to reports from the ANSA, the carabinieri performed during the night <strong>a catch</strong> towards <strong>Giovanni Vincenti</strong>, the owner of the farmhouse exploded. The man is held responsible for arson, murder and voluntary injuries due to the explosion that destroyed the building on the night between 4 and 5 November.

Vincenti, heard again in the night in the police station, he confessed, denying however the intention to want to kill. The public prosecutor of Alessandria, Enrico Cieri, announced this during a press conference.

The reconstruction of the tragedy

According to the prosecutor, there is a temptation behind the explosion that caused the death of the three firefighters insurance fraud. Vincenti's wife is investigated on the loose.

The couple was heavily indebted. "Last August, the building's insurance was extended to the malicious fact. The maximum prize was one and a half million euros, "the magistrate revealed.

According to the prosecutor's reconstruction, the tragedy was caused by a error in programming the timer connected to gas cylinders. The explosion it had to be one.

"The timer was set at 1.30 but accidentally there was also a setting at midnight. This led to the first modest explosion which, alas, alerted the fire brigade, "explained Cieri.

The turning point after the funeral of the three firefighters

The turning point in the investigation came within hours of the solemn funeral of Antonio Candido, Marco Triches and Matteo Gastaldo in the cathedral of Saints Peter and Mark of Alexandria, in the presence among others of the premier Giuseppe Conte, of the president of the Chamber Roberto Fico and of the minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese.

"You have to catch them, you have to do everything to catch them", was the appeal that the relatives of the three victims turned to the Prime Minister. "We need to understand why and who did this", is the pressing invitation of the provincial fire brigade commander, Roberto Marchioni, to express the "rage" of the firemen in the face of this tragedy.
