The race for second place, on the other hand, is very open: one of the clubs competing for this placement is Marseille, rejuvenated by the precious successes against Lille and Lyon, obtained just before the recent break for the national teams.

Toulouse is coming from three consecutive defeats in the league and is also experiencing a negative period in the environment: a few weeks ago, Alain Casanova even received death threats, he resigned and was replaced on the bench with Antoine Kombouare, who inherited a delicate situation and is struggling to manage it.
