The Rome Public Prosecutor has launched one investigation in relation to admission procedure to the arrangement with creditors in continuity with the company Astaldi Spa. In a note, the prosecutors specify that "on October 30, 2019 they were executed searches against two of the three commissioners of the composition procedure with respect to the assessor and to another professional ». In the register of suspects, two commissioners have finished: Stefano Ambrosini and Francesco Rocchi, accused of corruption in judicial proceedings, as they are dealing with the arrangement.

The preliminary investigations, the note specifies, "are aimed at verifying hypotheses of the crime of corruption in judicial acts and instigation to corruption and do not concern organs of the procedure other than those indicated above, are still in progress". Furthermore, the Public Prosecutor states that «the assessment of the facts aims at to ensure that the entire procedure is kept free of any possible offense, where applicable, and in any case from any possible doubt in this regard. These investigations concern specific conduct of natural persons and do not involve the activities still in progress in the company ".

According to the investigators everything would revolve around the professional amounts obtained by the two commissioners. In particular, Corrado Gatti – a professional who plays the role of independent subject in the agreement between Astaldi – would have had compensation equal to 12 million euros for the two commissioners, through operations intercepted by investigators.
