Harvard University's new multi-material 3D printing technique generates creatures that can come alive and perform small tasks
Not only does it include more and more materials, and it provides more and more techniques pushed: 3D printing today also focuses on the development of complex objects, and not so much on the level of form as on that of functionality, up to real robot.
Would you say you are skeptical? Then watch this video, made to support a research just published on Nature by a team of Harvard researchers. The printer you find can manage up to eight different materials, and rapidly develop structures with the highest degree of precision and able to move independently.
