The last project comes from the famous Ascariss Design who decided to give a new shape to the body of the model, taking strong inspiration from the Brera. Even if the current generation of the car offers an attractive and fashionable design, this interpretation is undoubtedly interesting and certainly will put a strain on the heart of the Italian brand's fans who appreciated the coupe produced from 2005 to 2010.
Alfa Romeo Giulia: Ascariss Design imagines the coupe version of the much-loved sedan
Although the plaque of the project of Ascariss Design shows the writing Giulia, we could also interpret the project as a new generation of the Brera, even if there are really very few possibilities for his eventual return.
Apart from the front that was practically taken up by theAlfa Romeo Giulia (headlights, air vents, diffuser and triangular grille with arms Alfa Romeo), everything else belongs to the Brera. For example, we can see the wheels, the slightly widened fenders, the presence of two doors and the exterior mirrors taken from the coupe.
Under the hood we expect to find one of the engines used by the Biscione on the Brera such as the 2.4-liter in-line 5-cylinder JTDm engine used on the 2008-2010 version, capable of developing a power of 209 hp. This version is able to shoot from 0 to 100 km / h in 8.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 231 km / h.
Better still if there would be the 3.2-liter V6 with 260 hp of the Brera S, limited to the British market, which takes only 6.8 seconds in the 0-100 km / h step and reaches a top speed of 250 km / h.
