Alberto Antonello woke up from the coma.

The 19-year-old, who was seriously injured in the Musile di Piave (Venice) accident five days ago in which his fiancee Giulia Zandarin lost his life, regained consciousness.

As soon as he could he asked for her, but the doctors had to tell him the sad news.

Meanwhile investigators continue to investigate the dynamics of what happened last Friday.

THE ACCIDENT – On Halloween night, Alberto and the girl were coming home after an evening with friends. A few hours earlier the young driver had had his driving license withdrawn as he had been found in possession of drugs for personal use. The crash occurred in the early hours of the morning.

The car on which the couple traveled left the road, hit a tree and then turned over. While for Giulia there was nothing to do, while he was rescued and taken to the hospital. In the blood they found an alcohol level of 0.76 g / l and is now being investigated for road murder and driving under the influence of alcohol.

In recent days, Alberto Antonello's father had intervened in defense of his son: "We must not criminalize him".
