Friborg »Before tackling a major remodeling of the Friborg railway station in 2021 (La Liberté de mercredi), the CFF will conduct a first site next year. The work, commissioned last year, will take place between the University of Miséricorde and the Poya stop. "The project is to start in the beginning of the year 2020. We have obtained the building permit", informed Arturo Mateo, project manager at SBB Infrastructure, on Tuesday at the press conference dedicated to the transformation of the Friborg railway station .
This first phase of the project will allow the modernization of the railway infrastructure east of the Friborg railway station. The total cost of the work is 30 million francs.
The first part of the program, valued at 22 million francs, provides for the relocation of four switches, allowing the entry and exit of trains in the station, about 500 meters towards Berne, near the Poya barracks. The operation
