Watch exports: return growth

Watch exports are rising again in September. Their curve had been looking down for three months. In September, the monthly result increased significantly to CHF 1.8 billion, or + 10.2%. Compared to last year after nine months, the level of exports increased by 2.8% to a total of 15.9 billion. The month of September, however, benefits from an additional working day and a favorable base effect, according to a statement released Thursday by the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry (FH). As a reminder, the statistics released by the FH are based on export figures and not on sales figures to end consumers. / Comm-jrg
