In addition to the mining industry, the robot is also used in various fields such as automotive, electronics, textiles, footwear and the food industry."Robots are the right choice for companies in Southeast Asia who want to improve their manufacturing processes and stay competitive. The Vinacomin Automotive Corporation (VMIC) is an excellent example of process automation with significant improvements in productivity and output quality of the product"said Darrell Adams.
According to Frost & Sullivan, a global consulting group, the automation and control market in Vietnam is estimated at $ 184.5 million by 2021.
Vietnam is also considered a very potential market for robotic applications. According to the International Federation of Robots, Vietnam ranks at 18e world rank in robotics. At present, Vietnam has about 13,800 robots. The electronics industry uses the most robots, accounting for 42% of the total, followed by the automotive industry with 12%.
