WASHINGTON, Oct. 16 (Reuters) – The US economy has continued to grow at a "modest" pace in September and early October, but many companies are more pessimistic for the coming months, the report says. Beige book on the recent state of affairs published Wednesday by the Federal Reserve.
The pace of inflation has also been modest, according to the document, which compiles information collected by the central bank from its contacts across the country.
"Companies expect a majority of growth, but many of them revise their growth forecasts for the next six to 12 months," writes the Fed.
